Somlói Top Selection Grófi Hárslevelű, 2017

Lime and honey mingle on the nose with wet stone and some faint notes of grilled pepper. Extremely rich with the typical dried fruit character of fully ripe grapes. The harmonious palate shows fruit and some oak notes and is lifted by rounded acidity. Mineral, stony, exciting finish. A Hárslevelű with great ageing potential.

The Grófi vineyard is one of the best plots of the winery. The large golden bunches were harvested and processed in overripe condition. After the fermentation in oak barrels, the wine matured for 6 months in oak on lees with battonage. During the ageing period, in addition to the intense fruitiness of the Hárslevelű, the barrel aromas have been incorporated, and the acidity integrated as well. With further ageing the wine will gain more weight and complexity.
