Aszú is the queen among the Tokaj wine specialities. The preparation requires a special technology and high professional knowledge. The late harvested grapes are affected by noble rot. The hand selected berries go through a complicated wine making procedure resulting in a unique, sweet nectar.
The Tokaji Aszú 5 puttonyos 2016 carries honey-like notes complemented by beeswax and dried apricots aromas. Apricots return in flavour as well, but dried melons and mangoes are also strongly present. The wine has a very nice acid-sugar balance, providing a long finish.
