It was in 1567 when „Nagyszőlő” vineyard was first mentioned in written documents. Various bits of this prestigious plot used to belong to royal and imperial families. The name Nagyszőlő indicates the abundant yields and the high quality of the harvest in this vineyard. The soil contains dacit and thick loess which play an important role in the elegant style of this wine. In outstanding vintages, the aszú wines are selected separately from first class parcels. This wine was fermented and aged in oak barrels for two years. It marries well with Asian food, foie gras and fruity desserts.
