It is from the far-off Rhone valley that the variety started its world conquest. Wine experts have theorised that it may have originated from Persia and was named after an Iranian city. But a few years ago, it was genetically confirmed that the grape is French. The 2019 Fischer Syrah displays elegant, cool, ripe aromas of peppermint, blueberries and even a slight hint of chocolate lurks in the background. The notes promised by the nose return on the palate. A medium-bodied wine with a lively, ripe, firm structure. The finish offers ripe cherries, coffee and dark chocolate. Pair it with chilli, beef and succulent dishes, perfect with chilli con carne.
