Kékfrankos „Welcome to the jungle”, 2018

Each year the premium wines from Pfneiszl estate get a short and cathy name hinting at a story relevant to that specific vintage. The premium wines from the 2018 vintage are called: „Welcome to the jungle”. The explanation is that in 2018 there were no roaring tigers, no monkeys or exotic plants in the vineyards of Pfneiszl estate, but sweet grapes, high humidity, and frequent rain showers. Regular rainfall and warm weather made the vines climb high to the sky like lianas in the jungle. Seeing it, whenever the Pfneiszl sisters walked around in the vineyard, they would say, “Welcome to our jungle!”
