Sauvignon Blanc is one of the world’s most popular grape varieties among wine lovers. It has easily recognisable varietal characteristics and, when grown on volcanic bedrock, it can produce truly individual wines. Our 2021 Sauvignon Blanc is restrained on the nose, with fruity notes of greengage and star fruit – better known as carambola – coupled with some freshly cut grass in the background. The palate is moderately intense, taking the wine a notch above the light category. Not your typical Sauvignon Blanc, this is an exciting, mineral wine with a long finish. An excellent companion to salads, fish and younger cheeses. It is especially good with fried fish with lemongrass sauce. Growing area: 14ha
